AutoRaise has appointed Chris Ryder, Managing Director at Activate Collision Solutions, as its new Deputy Chair, strengthening the charity’s leadership as it continues its work to attract and develop future talent for the automotive repair industry.
Chris has been a passionate supporter of AutoRaise for a number of years, serving as both a trustee and an investor in the charity. During that time, he has championed its mission to create opportunities for young people while promoting careers across the vehicle repair sector.
With extensive leadership experience in automotive repair, Chris brings significant commercial expertise and strategic insight to his expanded role. His appointment reflects AutoRaise’s continued focus on developing the industry’s future workforce and building stronger partnerships across the sector.
In recent months, Chris has represented AutoRaise at the Houses of Parliament as part of the Skills Commission’s work to reduce youth unemployment. He has also supported the development of the charity’s AutoYouth Alliance and Careers Resource Centre, while continuing to help shape the organisation’s long-term strategic direction.
As Deputy Chair, Chris will work alongside Simon Smith, Chair at AutoRaise, the Board of Trustees and the executive team to support the next phase of the charity’s development. The role will focus on strengthening industry engagement, expanding partnerships and helping more young people access careers within automotive repair.
