CoreLogic’s INTRCONNECT Europe hailed major success


CoreLogic hosted its inaugural INTRCONNECT Europe in London on 20 September, bringing together claims, supply chain, underwriting and risk management professionals all under one roof.

Themed Better Together, the event – hosted by Michael Porter, CoreLogic’s SVP International, Insurance Solutions – focused on three key areas of disruption: climate change; artificial intelligence and machine learning; and supply chain challenges.

Using an entertaining, artificial intelligence (AI) generated sketch to open the day’s proceedings, CoreLogic President, Insurance Solutions, Garret Gray gave an opening address looking back on the past 12 months of innovation within the company and highlighting the profound impact advances in technology will have on insurance.

Referencing the disruption technology will bring, Garret cited British naturalist Charles Darwin by stating that those businesses most adaptable to change will be those that succeed in the future.

“Here at CoreLogic we are creating a future where technology empowers and provides a place for businesses to co-create – no one business can do everything all on their own,’ said Garret.

In discussing advances in AI and its theorised potential impacts, Garret stated: “AI is moving at breakneck speed, everything in insurance will be impacted by AI. We are making huge investments today in CoreAI to continue its development.”

Throughout the day, CoreLogic’s experts including Mark Barrett, Vice President, UK Go-To-Market; Leah Davies, Director, Client Success; and Peter King, Product Director for CoreLogic Claims discussed and unveiled new innovations in claims, underwriting, and risk management, set to shape the industry’s future.

A number of agenda sessions were supported by key industry stakeholders each providing their respective insights on topics including climate change, collaboration, and supply challenges.
