Saga and Steer join New Generation agenda 

Andy Cain, Head of Claims – Customer Operations at Saga plc and Nicky Sutherland, Director of People & Culture at Steer Automotive Group are the latest key names set to join ILC’s New Generation in Claim Conference.

Andy, a contributor to last year’s highly successful inaugural event, returns in 2024 to discuss how organisations can retain talent in an effective way that takes them on a positive journey. Andy will share how he has used some of the concepts discussed during last year’s event to benefit Saga and its people. 

Nicky joins the high-profile speaker line-up with more than 20 years’ experience in general insurance with Ageas and Tesco Underwriting prior to joining Steer in December 2021 at the start of its incredible growth journey. Nicky will share insights across a range of themes including DE&I across the market and the biggest challenges 2024 is likely to bring. 

New Generation in Claims is focused on ensuring the sector is fulfilling the needs of attracting and nurturing young people into kickstarting their careers as well as exploring and understanding how the sector can become a ‘go to’ destination for fresh, untapped talent pools and alternative skillsets.

  • Hatch Digital’s CEO, Andrew Metcalfe and Commercial Director, Xanthe Marmion are set to explore how businesses need to be thinking differently when it comes to finding and developing future talent. 
  • ILC New Generation Sector Lead and Founder of Engage to Succeed, James Lambert who will provide a session focusing on the importance of engaging current internal talent to create a platform for growth, development, and wellbeing
