Quoted Van Insurance Premiums Fall 5.0% but Price Cuts Could be Slowing 

Quoted van insurance premiums dropped 5.0% in the year to the end of August but price cuts could be slowing, according to the latest Consumer Intelligence Van Insurance Price Index. The three months to the end of August saw quoted premiums drop just 1.3% with leading direct insurer brands maintaining or increasing prices as intermediary insurers reduced rates. Read more

New CII report highlights key challenges in Consumer Duty Board reporting 

A new report from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) highlights the key challenges faced by firms when producing Consumer Duty Board reports. ‘Knowing what data to include’, ‘Availability of appropriate data’, and ‘Integrating data’ were some of the areas found to be the most challenging, with an increase in firms reporting difficulty in ‘Showing the relationship between different data sets’ and ‘Manually entering data’ since 2024. Read more
