Belfor signs Good Business Charter

Leading disaster recovery firm Belfor UK has announced it has become a member of the Good Business Charter, which recognises UK companies that are leading the way in responsible business practices.

To receive accreditation, Belfor UK had to meet 10 components covering care for employees, suppliers, customers, and the environment.

These include paying the real living wage, offering fairer hours and contracts, championing employee wellbeing, delivering employee representation, equality, diversity, and inclusion, committing to an environmental policy, paying fair tax, delivering a commitment to customers, meeting the standards set out in the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code, and prompt payments to suppliers.

Hein Hemke, Managing Director at Belfor UK, said: “Customers are increasingly looking for corporate partners that operate in a sustainable and responsible way, to help them meet their own environmental, social and governance ambitions. Our Good Business Charter accreditation not only demonstrates our commitment to responsible business practices, but also holds us accountable for making continuous improvements to our behaviour. This gives our customers and partners confidence in our operations and is testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams across the country.”
