AION has partnered with CRG Diagnostics to strengthen diagnostic and calibration support for its UK repair network, with the aim of reducing vehicle downtime and improving repair efficiency.
The agreement will provide bodyshops, replacement glass specialists and fleet customers with access to manufacturer-level diagnostics and technical expertise as the number of AION vehicles on UK roads increases.
Under the partnership, CRG Diagnostics will deliver component coding and programming support, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) calibration, and pre- and post-repair diagnostic scans.
The service will also ensure vehicles are calibrated following repairs using manufacturer diagnostic software, supporting the growing technical requirements associated with modern electric vehicles (EVs).
The collaboration complements AION’s existing UK repair infrastructure, including its partnership with Thatcham Research to develop UK-specific repair methods, which are available through the e-Scribe platform.
AION also operates a UK-based parts centre providing guaranteed nationwide next-day delivery, helping repairers access replacement components and minimise delays.
Ben Hurford, Aftersales Director at AION Auto UK, said: “Working with CRG Diagnostics further compliments the UK-specific repair methods we have developed in partnership with Thatcham Research, now available on their e-Scribe platform, alongside our focus on ensuring the right parts are available when they are needed.”
Ben added: “Together, these solutions are designed to remove unnecessary delays from the repair process and reduce vehicle downtime.”
Justin Bown, Group Managing Director of Collision Repair Group, said: “As AION vehicles begin appearing in greater numbers on UK roads, this step means CRG already has the capability and technical support in place to work with accident repair centres, replacement glass providers and fleet customers.”
The announcement follows the recent introduction of AION’s second UK model, the AION UT hatchback, which joins the AION V SUV.
Both models are supported by the manufacturer’s Great 8 Promise, covering warranty, servicing and roadside assistance for eight years, alongside MOT provision until the vehicle reaches eight years old.
