Fix Auto Basingstoke has officially opened its new 25,000sqft repair centre – a facility described as one of the most environmentally responsible vehicle repair operations in the UK.
The grand opening event welcomed leading insurers, suppliers, and fellow Fix Auto UK Franchise Partners from across the region. Guests toured the Wade Road site to see first-hand the cutting-edge sustainable technologies embedded throughout the centre and hear from owner Dale Morris and his team about the steps taken to make environmental performance a core priority.
The new facility is fully electric and powered entirely by a large bank of solar panels. It features energy-efficient equipment, responsible waste management systems and a range of operational measures aimed at reducing emissions without compromising on repair quality, safety or efficiency.
Speaking at the launch, Dale Morris said: “This centre represents a significant investment in the future of sustainable accident repair and a clear statement of intent for what modern bodyshops can and should deliver. Repair centres like ours will be the future of our industry – it’s what customers, work providers and insurer partners will expect. I’m just delighted to be at the front of these developments.”
The site sits just yards from Dale’s second facility – a 15,000sqft centre dedicated to vans, LCVs, motorhomes and small lorries – making the Basingstoke operation one of the most advanced in the Fix Auto UK network.
Ian Pugh, Managing Director for the Advantage Group of Companies, which includes Fix Auto UK, added: “What Dale and his team have achieved not only raises the bar for repair facilities but truly establishes a flagship venue. No stone has been left unturned and no expense spared to ensure this facility is as eco-friendly and future-focused as possible. It’s a great day for Fix Auto Basingstoke and Fix Auto UK.”
