Fix Auto Penzance strengthens sustainability drive with RWC Training partnership

Fix Auto Penzance has taken another significant step in its sustainability journey by adopting RWC Training’s innovative Train to Gain programme – becoming the second site within the Fix Auto UK network to implement the carbon-conscious training model.

Recognised as one of the UK’s most eco-forward bodyshops, Fix Auto Penzance has long prioritised environmental performance. The business was among the first to achieve PAS 2060 certification for carbon neutral operations and continues to lead the way in sustainable innovation, from solar power to EV charging infrastructure.

The partnership with RWC Training aligns with both organisations’ shared commitment to environmental excellence. As active members of the ARIES Hub (Accident Repair Industry Environmental Standard), they are part of a growing network dedicated to reducing the carbon footprint of the accident repair sector.

The Train to Gain programme removes the need for technicians to travel to off-site centres or host on-site assessor visits. Using a remote-validation and video-appraisal system, the model significantly reduces travel-related emissions while maintaining full BS 10125 compliance.

Stuart Cameron, Managing Director of Fix Auto Penzance, said: “Sustainability is at the core of everything we do, from our solar arrays to our EV charging infrastructure. When looking at our training requirements, we wanted a solution that aligned with our PAS 2060 status and commitment to ARIES, rather than working against it. Train to Gain is the perfect fit; it allows our team to access high-level upskilling and maintain compliance without the carbon-heavy requirement of sending staff and vehicles across the country. It proves that high-quality technical training and environmental responsibility can go hand-in-hand.”

Matt Mardell, Business Development Director at RWC Training, added: “Stuart and the team at Fix Auto Penzance are true pioneers. We are delighted to welcome them as our second Fix Auto partner.”

The latest rollout sees 15 Fix Auto Penzance technicians enrolled across the full suite of C Unit modules, helping the team stay at the forefront of repair technology within a verifiable carbon reduction framework.

RWC Training’s programme has been validated by all three UKAS-accredited auditors – BSI, RMISC and CARS QA – reinforcing its industry-wide credibility.
