Prasco UK expands to meet EV parts demand

ILC ARTICLE

Prasco UK has announced a significant investment in a new 27,000sqft facility to meet soaring demand for electric vehicle (EV) replacement parts, strengthening its position as a leading supplier of non-OE components.

Located adjacent to its existing 80,000sqft distribution hub in Doncaster, the new unit will house Prasco’s rapidly growing EV parts portfolio. The expansion reflects the company’s continued growth and comes in the same year it celebrated its 20th anniversary.

As EV adoption accelerates in the UK, demand for independently certified replacement parts has surged. Prasco’s new facility will cater to this shift by significantly increasing capacity and stockholding, including components for leading EV manufacturers such as Tesla, MG, Jaecoo and BYD.

Kelvyn Waugh, Managing Director of Prasco UK, said: “This expansion is yet another major investment for the company as we continue our drive to provide the best services possible.

“More and more of our customers are calling for EV parts, items they often need as soon as physically possible. Currently we have an impressive selection available but we need to grow and develop our offering especially as more and more EVs flood into the UK from overseas.”

He added: “Our customers need confidence that replacement parts for EVs are not only readily available, but meet the highest standards of safety. The new unit allows us to scale with demand and continue leading the way in the non-OE replacement parts market”.

The expansion supports Prasco’s ongoing strategy of strengthening ties with key manufacturers in China and the Far East. These long-standing partnerships have enabled the company to consistently develop and supply certified, high-quality parts to the UK market. This strategic approach will be further reinforced at Automechanika Shanghai later this month, where Prasco is set to showcase its capabilities and expand supplier networks.

As part of the wider Prasco Group – operating across Italy, Germany, France, Spain and Croatia – Prasco UK now has direct access to more than £22m worth of stock. The company currently holds over £5m in inventory across 250,000 items and 29,000 different product lines.
