Precision Repair Group (PRG), backed by an affiliate of private equity firm Sun European Partners LLP, has completed an investment in HB Accident Repair Network (HB).
The investment expands the PRG group of businesses further across the North of England as well as further diversifying its customer relationships, and will serve as a strongly performing platform for growth in the North-West.
The business has grown to three sites in the last four years; formed of Swinton (Manchester), Warrington, and Ellesmere Port which was opened in March of 2025.
This growth has been led by the current leadership team, all of whom will be continuing to run the business following PRGs investment, ensuring continuity of key business relationships.
Victoria Turner, Group CEO of the newly formed Precision Repair Group, comments: “HB is a very strong business led by a great team in Tracy, Nick and Les – and we are really glad that they have decided to join us on the growth journey. We have been impressed by the quality of customer service and the key customer relationships they have built.
“Investing in HB further demonstrates our focus on making carefully considered investments in high-quality operators, and bringing in top level capability which over time will have benefit across the Group”.
Tracy Howard, HB Chairman, said: “We are really proud of the way we have been able to grow the HB business over the years, securing strong relationships with a number of key work providers, and building our teams across three well performing locations. PRGs investment is a credit to all our people – and I’m excited about future growth potential working with the Group team.”
Nick Orr, HB Finance Director, added: “A key part of the decision for us was that we know we have Vic and the Group teams backing to continue to run the business – and that we will work together to make plans for how we grow into the future. The market has been tough recently, and we believe in the longer term journey and benefits of being part of Precision.”
Les Bickerstaffe, Managing Director, commented: “It’s a really exciting time for our business, and I’m looking forward to growing under the PRG umbrella. As a team we really felt that our vision in the market aligns with what Vic and the team are building – really working in partnership to sustain quality outcomes.”
