RWC Training has partnered with Calex to launch the Ford Body & Paint Apprentice Programme – an initiative aimed at developing skilled talent for the Ford Certified Collision Network (FCCN).
The collaboration brings together one of the UK’s largest apprenticeship providers with RWC’s specialist training facilities. Apprentices will receive hands-on training in four-day blocks at the RWC Training centre every six to eight weeks, supported by Ford specialist e-learning and development coaching.
Rob Ward, Managing Director at RWC Training, said: “We are incredibly proud to have been selected as a partner for this prestigious programme. Our facility and team are dedicated to providing the best possible training environment, and this partnership is a testament to the high standards we maintain.”
The new programme offers four initial qualifications for individuals aged 16 and over:
- Level 3 Vehicle Damage Paint Technician
- Level 2 Bodyshop Customer Service Advisor
- Level 3 Bodyshop Business Administrator
- Level 2 Bodyshop Parts Advisor (Supply Chain Warehouse)
Dan Cooper, Body & Paint Apprenticeship Programme Co-Ordinator at Ford, added: “The facilities and expertise at RWC are second to none, and we are confident that together we can provide a truly exceptional experience for our apprentices.”
Additional apprenticeship pathways, including Vehicle Damage Panel Technician and MET Technician, are expected in late 2025, with a Vehicle Damage Assessor programme planned for 2026.
The initiative reflects a wider commitment by Ford, Calex and RWC to ensure repair quality and customer service keep pace with advancing vehicle technologies.
