Steer Automotive Group and Admiral have launched a new co-branded vehicle repair centre in Derby, marking the second collaboration of its kind between the two organisations.
The new site, Steer Derby Admiral, has been created through the conversion and rebranding of the existing Steer Prestige Derby location. It will provide Admiral policyholders with a dedicated repair facility serving the wider Derbyshire area, with a focus on streamlining the end-to-end repair journey.
The partnership builds on an established working relationship, with the Derby team already delivering strong customer outcomes for Admiral customers. The move to a dedicated co-branded site enables closer alignment of processes between the two organisations, supporting improved efficiency, repair quality and communication throughout the claims journey.
James Dunn, Divisional Managing Director at Steer Automotive Group, said: “The Derby team is committed to delivering a great customer experience through clear communication and a rapid key to key time.” He added that co-branding the site would allow processes to be more closely aligned with Admiral, helping to “remove friction and provide customers with an industry leading repair experience.”
The Derby site also contributes to wider sustainability and environmental, social and governance objectives. Investment in repair innovation and training has supported efforts to reduce waste, including repairing plastic components where possible. The site is also supporting skills development through the recruitment of apprentice technicians via the Steer Academy.
Richard Thorogood, Chief Commercial Officer at Steer Automotive Group, said: “Steer Derby Admiral is a great example of what true partnership between a client and a repairer can deliver.” He noted that the collaboration supports both customer experience and investment in future talent across the industry.
Scott McCammon, Head of Motor Repair at Admiral, said: “We’re excited to expand our co-branded network with Steer to support customers across Derbyshire.” He added that the partnership combines repair innovation, sustainability and specialist capability to support customers now and in the future.
