Turners Accident Repair secures strategic investment

Turners Accident Repair, a third-generation family-owned business with multiple sites across the North of England, has secured investment from an affiliate of private equity firm Sun European Partners. The move marks a significant milestone in both Turners’ growth journey and Sun’s broader buy-and-build strategy within the collision repair sector.

Led by Stuart, Susan and Thomas Turner, Turners has earned preferred partner status with several leading insurers. The investment aims to accelerate the company’s expansion, broaden its geographic reach, and strengthen its market position through a collaborative, long-term approach.

Thomas Turner, Managing Director of Turners Accident Repair, said: “We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built at Turners over the years, and I want to thank our dedicated team, loyal customers, and valued partners for their continued support. Joining forces with Sun marks an exciting new chapter for our business. Their strategic vision and future plans align closely with our own values, and we’re confident that this partnership will accelerate our growth and strengthen our position in the market.”

Alexander Wyndham, Managing Director at Sun European Partners, added: “We’re delighted to partner with Turners, a highly respected operator with an outstanding reputation for quality and customer service. Together, we see significant opportunities to accelerate growth, expand the network, and strengthen relationships with key customers.”

The investment forms part of the wider creation of the Precision Repair Group. Victoria Turner, Group CEO, said: “Turners Accident Repair has built a reputation for exceptional service, technical capability, and strong customer relationships. Our investment reflects our belief in the group and its people – we see a strong foundation for continued success built on quality and customer service.”

She continued: “As a group, we remain focused on making carefully considered investments in high-quality operators. Our approach is deliberate and partnership-driven – supporting great teams to continue doing what they do best.”

The shareholders were advised by Translink Corporate Finance, with legal support from Gordons and tax advice from BHP. Legal advice to Sun was provided by Mayer Brown International LLP.
