Audience polling during the vehicle manufacturer section at ARC360 2026 highlighted the increasing complexity facing the vehicle repair and insurance claims sector as new vehicle technologies, expanding manufacturer choice and changing repair requirements continue to reshape operations.
Forming part of three dedicated audience interaction sessions, delegates were asked how many different vehicle manufacturer brands they commonly see within their operations today. More than half (55%) reported working across between 11 and 20 brands, while a further 36% are already managing more than 20 brands. Almost every respondent (98%) expects that number to increase over the next 12 to 18 months.
The findings reflect a sector adapting to a rapidly evolving vehicle parc, with repairers, insurers and wider supply chain partners preparing for greater variation in vehicle technologies, repair methods and manufacturer requirements.
When asked what they continue to learn about new technology vehicles and repair, the audience identified ‘complexity’ as the defining theme. Other recurring responses included ADAS, AI, software, repairability, training, data and the pace of technological change.
The results suggest businesses recognise that investment in technical capability and ongoing workforce development will remain essential as vehicle technology continues to advance. Respondents also highlighted the importance of repair methods availability, evolving standards and greater access to manufacturer information.
Mark Hadaway, Co-Founder of ARC360 said, “The polling reinforces the growing importance of collaboration across the repair ecosystem as organisations adapt to greater technical diversity. With more manufacturers, more advanced vehicle systems and increasingly sophisticated repair processes, businesses continue to balance investment in skills, equipment and knowledge against commercial pressures.”
Supported by Corporate Partners Allscreens, BASF, e2e, Exclusive Repair Network, iBodyshop, Mirka, NWVA, Prasco UK, Repairify, S&G, Sherwin-Williams, Solera Audatex and Spire Drive, alongside sponsors Partly, Silverlake Automotive Recycling and Thatcham Research, as well as Industry Body Partners AutoRaise, MIB, NBRA and Trend Tracker, and Vehicle Manufacturer Partner Stellantis, ARC360 2026 welcomed close to 400 senior decision-makers from across the UK vehicle repair and motor claims sector.
