Vella expands into Bristol

The Vella Group has expanded its presence in the South-West following the acquisition of Bristol-based repairer UK Carbody, strengthening its footprint across England and Wales.

UK Carbody is an established independent repairer with a strong reputation for quality, sustainability and customer service. The business has been recognised as a Platinum Winner in the National Body Repair Association Greener Bodyshop Awards for four consecutive years, highlighting its commitment to environmental best practice and operational performance.

Operating from a purpose-built 12,000sqft facility in Avonmouth since 2021, UK Carbody has developed a leading position in the Bristol market. Under the leadership of co-owners Devin Cavanagh and Tony Groves, the business has focused on delivering consistent repair standards and a high-quality customer experience.

The acquisition brings the Vella Group’s total network to 19 locations, enhancing its ability to support insurer, fleet and network management partners across the South-West. The move reflects the Group’s ongoing strategy to build a sustainable and high-quality multi-site operation, with a focus on long-term growth and operational resilience.
