Autoglass technician takes Best of Belron silver

Canadian David Chester was named the top windscreen technician in the world at the Best of Belron, with George Pim of Autoglass finishing second.

The Best of Belron competition took place in Lisbon from 12-13 June, attended by more than 1,600 customers, suppliers, shareholders and employees.

The competition saw 30 national winners from around take part of two days, completing a range of vehicle glass repair, replacement and ADAS recalibration tasks.

Pim said, “Coming second in the entire world is a massive achievement, it’s been one hell of a ride and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I wouldn’t be here without my coach, Simon Golding, so a big shout out to him. Best of Belron is an amazing event, I hope I’ve made everyone proud.”

Meanwhile, Simon Blake, Customer and Operations Director, Autoglass, added, “We are immensely proud of George for claiming silver in the Best of Belron 2024 competition.
