Networking Lunch raises £60,000 for Rainbow Trust

ILC’s Motor Claims Networking Lunch 2024 has helped raise just under £60,000 for children’s charity Rainbow Trust taking ILC’s total fundraising efforts for the charity to just under £1.3m.

The sell-out event, which took place at the Grand Connaught Rooms on Friday 19 January, attracted over 460 the industry’s leading influencers each showing their support for the amazing charity.

Joined by Rainbow Trust CEO, Zillah Bingley the event included a table raffle, silent auction and live auction hosted by former World and European Champion 4x400m athlete, ex-professional basketball player, revered high-performance expert and auctioneer on Channel 4s The Greatest Auction – Derek Redmond. Included amongst the prizes were a Taylor Swift concert package, Claridge’s ‘Lunch with the Legends’, and, of course, the highly sought Rainbow Trust Teddy Bears pledge.

Derek was one of two superstar athletes present during the day with rugby legend Jason Robinson joining Derek on stage for a post-lunch Q&A where he talked about growing up, finding rugby and some of the major successes he achieved in both Rugby League, Rugby Union and international duties.

Sue Whyte, ILC CEO said, “The ILC Motor Lunch 2024, once again, proved a major success for the Rainbow Trust helping to raise a further £60,000 for this incredible charity.

“I’d like to pass on my sincere thanks to the amazing ILC community for their support and our superstar auctioneer Derek Redmond who really helped bring the event to life with fellow international athlete Jason Robinson.”

The sell-out event was headline sponsored by Enterprise, along with Gold Sponsors Carpenters Group, Edam Group, Nationwide Vehicle Recovery Assistance and Trak Global; Silver Sponsors Davies Group, NuvaLaw, Winn Group and Qdos Assistance; and ILC Motor Corporate Partners: Activate Group, AkzoNobel, Autoglass, CAPS, Carpenters Group, Copart, DAC Beachcroft, e2e, Entegral, Enterprise, Gemini ARC, GT Motive, Innovation Group, Kennedys, Proclaim Care, S&G Response, Solera Audatex, Synectics Solutions, Synetiq, thingco, Verisk and Whichrate, and Claims Essentials – Insurance Fraud Partner Robertsons.
