Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 

As the lastILC Daily Motor News of 2025 we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support throughout the year. 

The ILC community has continued to grow in number, extend its reach, and develop throughout the year with just shy of 12,000 engaged ‘followers’, more than 40 Corporate Partners, and 35 Insurer Partners today. 

Our events continue to be market leading – recognised for the highest calibre attendance, unrivalled networking opportunity and valuable shared insights. Supporting our events, our newsletters and the new ILC App are now also central to the ILC community providing a live platform for content and information. 

With our ‘App first’ focus, we have also significantly increased our digital content output – generating more insight, driving engagement, and helping the sector keep informed.  

And, of course, the ongoing support for our charity partner Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity is a constant via ILC Day, our networking lunch fundraising activities and ongoing promotion throughout the year. 

All of this is only possible with the support of the ILC community – and we’re excited to continue our ‘better tomorrow’ drive for 2026 and beyond.

Motor Networking Lunch countdown begins 

Final preparations are underway for ILC’s Motor Claims Networking Lunch 2026, with the sector once again set to unite in support of Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. Taking place on 16 January 2026 at London’s iconic Grosvenor House, Park Lane, the sell-out event will welcome more than 750 key figures from across the motor claims industry. Now nearing capacity, the lunch promises to be one of the biggest and best yet, offering high-level networking, insight and community impact in equal measure. Read more

Vehicle output down in November as next gen EV production poised to begin 

UK vehicle production fell by -14.3% in November with 65,932 units leaving factory lines, according to the latest figures published today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). The decline was driven by a slight reduction in car output, down -1.7% to 63,126 units, and a much steeper -78.0% drop in commercial vehicle (CV) output, with just 2,806 units produced – 9,943 fewer than in the same month last year. Read more

Nirvana Insurance, an AI-based commercial insurance platform for the trucking industry, has raised a $100 million Series D round at a $1.5 billion valuation, it tells Crunchbase News exclusively. The raise comes just over nine months after the startup raised $80 million in a Series C round of funding at an $830 million valuation. Read more
