John Green, Claims Consultant at Clegg Gifford & Co, is making a second roundtrip to the Ukraine border to deliver valuable provisions to refugees after securing more than £15,000 in funding.
He first made the journey in early March after receiving more than £20,000-worth of backing from the insurance sector, and is now making a return with John Gibson, Motor Services Director at Keoghs – a Davies business alongside, and four van-loads of essential supplies, including sleeping bags, food provisions such as tinned meats, pasta and cereals, and medical supplies.
Again, support for his mission has come from far and wide, with Auto Windscreens providing the vans, Stena Line offering free channel crossings, and further donations coming from the likes of Markerstudy Insurance, Kindertons Accident Management, Fairweather Insurance Services Limited, SX3 Independent Claims Consultants, All-Rates Ltd and Keoghs.
John said, “Everyone has bent over backwards to help me out. The donations have been mega. Thank you to everyone that has donated. I don’t think I have covered half of what’s been going on or thanked half the people that I should have. You all know who you are and I couldn’t have got this far without you all.”
John will begin phase three of his aid mission when he returns, which will involve filling a 40-foot container. To show support please visit his justgiving page or follow the progress on LinkedIn.
